Trilobites are a ground of extinct marine invertebrates. They’re one of the earliest known groups of arthopods (invertebrates like crabs, shrimp, scorpions, and spiders). They first appear in the fossil record 521 million years ago. They went extinct 250 million years ago, during the mass extinction at the end of the Permian.
